The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced Valorstones, and Harbinger Crests as two currencies to upgrade gear. These can be exchanged at the NPCs who upgrade items, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to its highest level for a given slot at a time. Upgrades to that slot will be less expensive afterward. The pity system, introduced in The War Within, also lowers the extreme upgrade variance.
Upgrades
In gaming, upgrades are replacements for components that improve performance or add new features. Upgrades can be purchased or earned in a variety of ways, such as through in-game events or cash shop items.
As opposed to enchantments that can be incorporated into any item, upgrades are tied to specific items and can only be used on those items. Therefore, an upgrade cannot be applied to a weapon until it is already equipped by players. Certain items can be upgraded multiple times and provide a greater benefit to the player.
Upgrades are a fairly new mechanic that was introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system allows the player to add additional enhancements to their equipment to increase it's power. This can range from basic strength boosts to massive damage and defence boosts. The upgrades are divided into tracks, and each track has a limit on the amount of upgrades that can be done. Those limits are designed to prevent players from spamming low keystone dungeons for equipment and then upgrading it up to.
Upgradeable gear includes armor, weapons and consumables. The majority of gear is upgraded as it drops, though a few items (such as Ornn's gear, or the baby Dracolich pet) cannot be upgraded. The gear can be upgraded by purchasing an upgrade recipe from a vendor and then combining it with the item that is in the appropriate upgrade slot. The icon of the item or searching for it in the shop will reveal the number of upgrades that item of equipment is equipped with.
The upgrade system has two major drawbacks. It can be difficult to tell which items can be upgraded because upgrade vendors may not show all of them. Additionally, the upgrade textures are rendered above the model of the item which could obscure enchantment glints and other details.
Another drawback is that upgrades can be costly. Each step up an item's upgrade level costs a certain number of Valorstones or crests, depending on the slot of the item and level. Weapons generally require more crests and Valorstones to upgrade than gloves or bracers for instance. There are however some cash shop items that could lower the cost of upgrading.
Recycles
In the wake of a growing awareness of how single-use products and inefficient habits contribute to environmental degradation, many people are changing their shopping practices. Some people buy high-quality items that will last longer, or reuse their old gadgets in search of a solution. Some are focusing on recycled items and seeking out the highest recycled content in their purchases. This trend should help reduce the amount resources required to create and extract new materials, and create an environmentally sustainable world.
It is now easier for consumers than ever to find recycling. Many products, including furniture and paper, contain recycled material. These products are made of re-used or discarded materials. You can buy them at a retail store or online. In addition to preserving the environment they are also more affordable than their counterparts.
When an item is upgraded it will be rewarded with additional bonuses along with its improved stat. These bonuses differ based on the item's tier, and may be of various types. The ones who have higher tiers will receive higher bonuses than those on lower tiers.
More companies are taking on producing greener products as the global economy shifts away from resource extraction and towards reusing and recyclating. Many of these are also insisting on using recycled materials and providing incentives to customers to recycle their items. As the demand for sustainable products increases, we will likely see more recycled products in stores and on the shelves.
Rerolls

Rerolling is a vital tool in Genshin Impact, or any other gacha game. It allows players to re-try their chances of obtaining the specific weapon or character that they either prefer to have for aesthetic reasons or because they believe that it's a good fit on their team.
Rerolls allow players to refresh items available for the current waves in exchange for a small amount of materials. Prices of these weapons rise as the number of rerolls increases but some items may not be available (for instance, characters that only use weapons with range won't see an item that is melee).
When an item is upgraded it enters the Staple Pool and gains extra bonuses. These bonuses are determined by what type of item it is. For instance an upgrade that increases a weapon’s main stat can also boost its other stat. If the item is rerolled then the extras will change.
If a player has enough stamina to perform a reroll they can press a button using circular arrows to swap their current item for a new one. This new item has the same level, however different bonuses depending on the type of item it was, such as a book, sword, gun or watch.
Rerolling does not reset an item's bonus levels. However the player may require the minimum requirements for its special ability. This can make it difficult to get an item with the bonus they desire, but it does allow players to explore a different option in the future without having to invest more resources.
Upgrading item upgrade won't only increase its bonuses, but it will also give the item a boost in its tier which means that it's guaranteed to get a specific amount of bonus stats when upgraded in the future. This is a big reason why it's important to only upgrade your gear as high as possible, because once you hit the tier that upgrades will not make a huge difference, it's not worth it.
Sets
A set is a group of objects which share a common characteristic. They are commonly utilized in the field of mathematics, and can be represented with a notation like . Sets have many important properties such as the associative and commutative properties. These properties help us to learn about how sets work, and they also have practical applications.
The items in a set can be upgraded for additional benefits in the game. For instance, a set of armor pieces could give an increase to the armor's defense, while a weapon may offer an additional damage base. These additional stats are added after the base stats of the item, and before the percentages and flats. The additional stats can be a great way to enhance the value of an item.
When upgrading an item, it will replace the base stat with the new stat. For example, a weapon that had 20 base damage will now have 40 base damage. The base armor and upgrade requirements will remain. This is a great way to get an elite item for a low cost.
Upgrades of unique items are very profitable, particularly if they have an interesting mod. A rare belt with +5 IAS for instance could have a significant impact on the strength of a build, especially in early hell. It's an excellent way to increase the value of an item by adding a perfect or high roll.
Item Upgraders are different for set, unique and rare items. The item will typically be upgraded to a new type once it has been upgraded to level 10. For instance an upgrade of an item that is unique and has an extremely high defense roll will result in an elite armored item with the same type of base. It is not a 100% guarantee, and in some instances, an upgrade might not change the type of item.
It is recommended to upgrade your BiS (Best in Slot) and then move to non-BiS items. This will ensure that players have a strong base for leveling up, and can focus on increasing their tiers and getting additional stats.
